HP 3000 Web Starter Kit 2 - final beta

This new flavour of my old HP 3000 Web Starter Kit idea is meant to be distributed on a CD to avoid the need of extensive downloads and make installation easier and more convenient. However, to make the material available before the CD is finished and distributed, you can find the CD directory layout below, with files clickable for downloading to a local PC drive.

Please copy the desired parts to a local disk drive and then follow the ReadMe.txt instructions.
Notice to save the downloaded files with filenames as shown above, not the original filenames!

Open Issues

1. The files jsdk.jar and swing.jar are no longer provided here for convenience. I somehow suspect that the Sun licensing conditions would not like me for redistributing them. So you (unfortunately) have to pick up the related packages at the Sun web site, unpack them and move the two relevant files to the 3000 (or let the WKINST script do that for you).
   • The Java Servlet Developer Kit 2.0 is at http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/download.html
     (download either the .exe or .zip flavour but only the 2.0 version)
   • The Java Foundation Classes (Swing) 1.1.1 are at http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/download.html
     (add-on to JDK 1.1.x, part of Java SDK 1.2.x, but missing on MPE)
2. The file jdbc60.tar is provided here for your convenience. It is normally distributed by HP as part of 6.0 Express-1, however, next to nobody seems to have received the SUBSYS media (and the PowerPatch does not contain the JDBC files). I guess, I won't get in trouble with HP by providing a copy here ;-)
