My Query Applet

The applet below performs a telnet connection to an HP 3000 and uses the program QUERY.PUB.SYS to access the Music TurboIMAGE database. Notice that this form of host access does not involve JDBC or similar methods. We are running the regular host program and just adding a GUI front-end via this applet.

Enable the display of the Java Console window in your web browser if you would like to see additional information on the HP 3000 transactions performed on behalf of your GUI actions. (Only works if the applet is compiled with the respective trace output enabled).
